Help us Review the Guidelines!

The Guidelines for Reappraisal and Deaccessioning is undergoing its first review since SAA Council first approved the Guidelines in 2012. The Technical Subcommittee on Reappraisal and Deaccessioning is soliciting feedback.


To begin thinking about reviewing the Guidelines, the technical subcommittee asks you to consider the following:

  • How have you used the Guidelines?
  • What have you found helpful?
  • What have you done differently or what might you do differently than the procedures described in the Guidelines?
  • Are there any issues with reappraisal or deaccessioning not covered in the Guidelines?

Any and all feedback is welcome. There are two ways to submit comments:
