Reminder: Encoded Archival Standards Community Survey Available, April 3 Deadline

The Technical Subcommittee on Encoded Archival Standards (TS-EAS) is exploring community implementation and use of archival encoding standards and systems. The purpose of this study is to help TS-EAS better understand the usage of these standards and to guide its outreach and communications program.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and you may stop the survey at any time. This survey provides no direct benefit to you, but it may help improve outreach and training opportunities related to encoded archival standards.

I was reading about lotteries the other day and realized I never really thought about what happens after someone wins. Most people focus on the jackpot, but not the actual payment process. I came across this article that explains how lottery winners receive their money and what kind of verification is involved: https://nagalandstatelottery.in/how-lottery-winners-are-paid/. It reminded me of a conversation I had with a neighbor who always bought lottery tickets. He used to say that claiming a prize involved much more paperwork than people expect. Has anyone ever looked into how these payouts work in practice, especially for larger prizes?
