SNAP Steering Committee Meeting Minutes - 2018/04/18

1. New Blog Coordinator: Rachel Cohen

1. Katie accidentally sent a message to the SNAP listserv that was intended for the steering committee only. The original message to listserv has been edited and apologies for the error were sent to blog coordinator candidates.
2. Rachel F. or Brenna will reach out Rachel C. to bring her onto the blog team, and should reach out to Katie if unable to add Rachel C. to Wordpress.

2. Registration for SAA 2018 is open

1. New member/first timer guide is up, includes links to SNAP’s Lunch Buddy & Ride/Roomshare spreadsheets: https://www2.archivists.org/am2018/resources/new-members-first-timers
2. If you see anything that needs to be changed on the Lunch Buddy or Ride/Roomshare spreadsheets, feel free to fix it. These sheets were repurposed sheets from past annual meetings.
3. Please PROMOTE these sheets & the new member/first timer guide ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!
4. Katie’s friend is posting a room on the roomshare if anyone is looking for one

3. Steering committee elections are coming up in May.

Ballot will include:

1. Vice chair/Chair-elect
2. Secretary
3. 3 at-large members
4. Standing Rules updates: Changes approved by Felicia Owens and Erin Lawrimore, news item is listed on microsite, will be included on this year’s ballot

4. Storify is shutting down as of May 16, 2018 (Amanda/Robina/Rachel/Brenna)

1. Robina may have tested alternatives, but she’s not present to discuss. Katie will reach out to Amanda and Robina regarding this.
2. Can do possible export of Storify, similar to Twitter Moments.

5. Wiki Check-in

1. Thank you to those who have added content to the wiki!
2. Friendly reminder that if you are an elected steering committee member rolling off in August, please try to fill in your section of the wiki before your term ends.
3. You Have more time if rolling off by end of calendar year (ex-officios)
