10:45 am -6:30 pm (tour 1:00 pm-4:00 pm) Special Collections Tour

Join us for a tour of the Wittliff Collections whose mission is “to collect, preserve and share the artistic process that springs from the Southwestern imagination.”  The collection is located south of Austin at Texas State University in San Marcos, so we will carpool to the destination. Led by Photography Archivist Carla Ellard, we will learn about the collections and see the current photography exhibition, Arthur Tress: Mexico 1964-65, before we head over to the Wittliff’s new off-site storage facility. ***This tour is limited to 15 participants and you must RSVP by next Tuesday the 30th.

5:30 pm Section Dinner

Join us at Guero’s Taco Bar for the annual Section dinner. A local institution since 1986, Guero’s offers a wide selection of Mexican dishes including gluten-free and vegan options. If it’s a margarita you’re after, their hand-shaken margaritas made with fresh lime juice couldn’t be better. And if you want to stick around after dinner you can enjoy live music out in the Oak Garden. Please RSVP by next Wednesday the 31st.
