Welcome to the Privacy & Confidentiality Section Documentation Portal!

This site contains institutional policy documents and forms related to privacy and confidentiality in archival collections.

This portal will be regularly updated with member submissions, and we encourage all members to consider adding their institutions' documentation. If you're still finalizing your documentation, we're happy to accept drafts, and to update the version in the documentation portal if your repository updates its documentation.

Contributing to the Portal:

Submissions can be made either via a Google form or by email to Section Vice Chair Katrina Windon (windon@uark.edu). Please include the following information along with a link to or attachment of your submission:

  • Name of parent institution and repository
  • Location of repository
  • Type of repository (public or private academic; corporate; federal, state, county, or city government; historical society; museum; non-profit; public library; religious; tribal; or other)
  • Title and brief description of document(s)
  • Date each document was last updated
