Hello MARSians, it’s staff ride time. This year we will have a private tour of the Texas State Archives. In addition to being the official archive of the state of Texas, TSLAC’s collections contain muster listings, correspondence, battle flags, artifacts and other materials related to Texans serving the Republic, the Confederacy, and the United States during times of war. This tour is limited to 15 individuals, so if you are interested in joining the tour you must RSVP before the event. Below are the particulars.
When: Friday August 2nd, 1:00 pm
Meet at the J W Mariott’s front desk at 12:30 to walk to the archive
Where: Texas State Archives
1201 Brazos St.
Austin, TX 78707
(1 mile walk from conference hotel and next door to the State Capitol)
Length of tour: 45 minutes to 1 hour
