Description of Tour:
Join National Archives Museum curators for tours of the new, permanent exhibit “Records of Rights” in the David M. Rubenstein gallery and the special exhibition “Making Their Mark: Stories Through Signatures” in the Lawrence F. O’Brien gallery. The “Records of Rights” exhibition showcases original and facsimile National Archives documents and uses an innovative 17-foot touch screen interactive table to illustrate how Americans throughout our history have debated issues such as citizenship, free speech, voting rights, and equal opportunity. “Making Their Mark” features hundreds of original signatures from our nationwide holdings. From developing a signature style to signing groundbreaking policy into law, they illustrate the many ways people have “made their mark” on history.
