CDTRWG Open Meeting--July 15, 2022

The Crisis, Disaster, and Tragedy Response Working Group (CDTRWG) will hold an open business meeting on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (CT) leading up to ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2022.

We'll begin with a brief introduction of the charge of the Crisis, Disaster, and Tragedy Response Working group and then update participants on the working group activities for the past year, and make any relevant working group announcements.

We are delighted to be hosting guest speaker John Chambers from the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland's Archives and Records Association, who will be speaking about emotional support workshops and guidance leaflets they have developed for their members working with traumatic archival materials.  John Chambers has been Chief Executive of the Archives and Records Association (United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland) since it was founded in 2010. Prior to that he was Executive Director of the Society of Archivists. John has worked in the charity and voluntary sector in the UK for 30 years and has managed charities operating in the fields of mental health, legal advice and HIV/Aids. We'll follow John's talk with some Q and A.
