Seventeen candidates vying for four different offices are slated for SAA’s 2024 ballot (see box at right). In the box at right, click on each candidate's name to read their brief bio, diversity statement, and response to the questions posed by this year's Nominating Committee.
The Vice President-elect will commence a one-year term in August 2024 and subsequently assume the role of SAA's 80th President for the 2025–2026 term. The Treasurer-elect will serve a three-year term starting in August until the 2027 Annual Meeting. Three Council seats are open, and the elected individuals will have three-year terms from August 2024 to the 2027 Annual Meeting. The three candidates chosen for the 2025 Nominating Committee will begin their one-year terms immediately.
Questions were developed by SAA's 2024 Nominating Committee: Krystal Tribbett (chair), Courtney Dean, Sarah Quigley, and Council members Jasmine Jones and Dominique Luster. Each candidate prepared a diversity statement according to SAA guidelines.
