Focuses on the physical nature of archival documents and their preservation, regardless of the documents' formats. Paper, audio and video tape, film, photographic negatives and prints, and electronic formats will be studied, as well as causes and preventation of deterioration, preservation microfiliming, digitization, and disaster preparedness.
