Special collections require a variety of different managerial skills given the unique nature of the materials involved within the context of a larger institution. In this class, students will become acquainted with issues relating to security, donor relationships, exhibits, collections management, personnel, gifts, funding and grants, provenance, disaster preparedness and publicity as related to cultural heritage resources.
