Association of Canadian Archivists

The Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit association. The ACA was established in 1975, and incorporated in 1978, after operating for a number of years as the Archives Section of the Canadian Historical Association (CHA). Today, the ACA represents over 600 archivists across Canada, with headquarters in Ottawa. Our mission is to provide the archival profession leadership and to facilitate an understanding and appreciation of Canada’s archival heritage.
