The Archives Society of Alberta is the professional organization for archivists and archives in the Province of Alberta. We provide advisory services to member and individual archives in Alberta, as well as distribute grant monies through our Access to Holdings Program. We also maintain the provincial catalogue, the Archives Network of Alberta, which feeds into the national catalogue. We provide an annual Institute to train new archivists, and several workshop opportunities as well as institutional forums for our members each year. We publish a newsletter three times a year, a yearly calendar and virtual exhibit to promote our member institutions and have a bi-annual conference.
