The Ann Arbor Accords were developed in 1995 under a Bentley Library Research Fellowship by a team led by Daniel Pitti that included Steven DeRose, Jackie Dooley, Michael J. Fox, Steven Hensen, Kris Kiesling, Janice Ruth, Sharon Thibodeau, and Helena Zinkham. The accords describe principles and criteria used to develop a Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) document type definition (DTD) for archival and library finding aids.
