Eligibility and Voting Guidelines
- All full individual members, student members, and primary contacts of institutional members who are in good standing on March 15, 2026, will be eligible to vote in the 2026 Election. Members who join after March 15, 2026, will be eligible to vote in the 2027 Election. Individual associate members are not eligible to vote.
- SAA staff will export and upload voter data to the online ballot system during the first week of April. Voters will be able to access their online ballot between April 15 and April 30, 2026, via a unique username and password included in the email notification. SAA is partnering with Survey & Ballot Systems, a leading provider of secure online voting software for nonprofit associations, to administer this election.
- Any eligible member of SAA may also be placed on the ballot by submitting a petition signed by five (5) percent of eligible voting members of the society; petitions must be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer at SAACEO@archivists.org by February 14, 2026.
