Ricardo Punzalan Assumes Seat on SAA Council

September 22, 2025—Society of American Archivists Council Member Michelle Ganz has notified the SAA Council of her resignation, effective August 29, 2025. SAA thanks Ganz for her service to the Society. 

In accordance with SAA’s constitution and bylaws, SAA has selected Ricardo “Ricky” Punzalan to serve as SAA Council Member for the remainder of Ganz’s Council term. He will also serve as the Council liaison to the Archives of Religious Collections Section, the Committee on Ethics and Professional Conduct, the Awards Committee, the Archival Educators Section, the Independent Archivist Section, the Women's Archivist Section, the Crisis, Disaster & Tragedy Response Working Group, and the Nominating Committee.
