SAA Foundation Approves Governance Working Group Recommendations, FY24 Budget

November 30, 2023—At its November 2–3, 2023, hybrid meeting in Chicago, IL, the SAA Foundation Board:

• Approved the recommendation by the Governance Working Group to modify the SAA Foundation bylaws by establishing a Gift Acceptance Committee, and addressed the length of terms for committees; the recommendation will be sent to the SAA Council for final approval to amend the bylaws as noted. (V.A.) 
• Approved disbanding the Communication Committee. (V.B.) 
• Approved the SAA Foundation FY24 Budget. (IV.B.) 
• Approved minutes for the May and June 2023 Foundation Board meetings. These are available on the SAA website. (II.A. & II.B.) 
• Reviewed and updated the SAA Foundation Strategic Plan 2023-2025.
