SAA Mentors Needed!

Dear colleagues,

The Society of American Archivists' Mentoring Program is currently seeking additional mentoring volunteers! The Mentoring Program connects participants with shared interests in various aspects of the archival profession. The goal is to cultivate career development and communication between members with areas of expertise and members who want to build their knowledge within those areas.

Think you don't have any expertise to share? Some of our colleagues waiting for mentors are just getting started in the profession and are looking for advice on schools, classes, career trajectory, resume development and interviewing skills.

We currently have people waiting for mentors who can offer guidance on the following:

  • Supervision and
  • management, Project management, Leadership skills, Consulting/Freelance work, Continuing education and training, and Writing and publishing

And who have experience working in:

  • Academic libraries/archives, Community archives, or work as a lone arranger

Please consider signing up to be a mentor by submitting this application (click on "Apply to be a mentor").

Thank you for your consideration,

SAA Mentoring Program
