July 6, 2020 – The SAA Digital Archives Specialist (DAS) Subcommittee is seeking new volunteers to fill three open positions. The subcommittee was recently expanded and is seeking two volunteers to fill new four-year positions, as well as one volunteer to fill a mid-term vacancy through 2022.
The Digital Archives Specialist (DAS) Subcommittee is responsible for ensuring that the Digital Archives Specialist curriculum remains up-to-date. Because the curriculum is likely to require frequent changes, the Subcommittee suggests and implements changes to the curriculum (including the examinations) as needed. In addition, the Subcommittee is responsible for ensuring the currency of the core competencies for a DAS certificate, overseeing the learning outcomes to ensure that they support the core competencies, and supporting the development of new courses.

The SAA Digital Archives Specialist (DAS) Subcommittee is inviting dedicated professionals to volunteer for three open positions, including two new four-year terms and one mid-term vacancy through 2022. This subcommittee plays a vital role in maintaining and updating the DAS curriculum to ensure it aligns with evolving digital preservation standards and practices. Volunteers will contribute to reviewing and revising course materials, examinations, and learning outcomes to keep the program relevant and effective. Just as Tree Trimming requires regular maintenance to promote healthy growth and remove outdated branches, the DAS Subcommittee continually refines its curriculum to strengthen the professional development of digital archivists and ensure the core competencies remain sharp and current.
To play online in Malaysia used to feel like navigating a maze. Some sites felt shady or overloaded with junk games. Then I found one where blackjack and Andar Bahar actually had clean design, and bonuses didn’t come with insane strings attached. The key tip I’d give? Use demo mode first. I test all the games before betting anything real. It’s fun, smart, and less painful if you lose.
SAA's Digital Archiving Specialist (DAS) is looking for volunteers to help maintain and update its curriculum, which is vital to fostering activities such as the creation of levels in geometry dash scratch and the combination of contributing to this subcommittee allows individuals to shape and enhance the framework for future digital archivists.
