SAA Signs on to Two Letters Addressing Government Transparency

SAA recently signed on to two OpenTheGovernment.org coalition letters addressing government transparency:

  • In response to an announcement by Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Chair Dianne Feinstein that the committee will mark up legislation this week to address the National Security Agency’s surveillance programs, the coalition urged Senators Feinstein and Chambliss to make the text of their proposal available to the public prior to mark-up.
  • In a letter to Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, the coalition supports new transparency and accountability guidelines for the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) licensing procedures “to ensure a more timely response to human suffering around the world.”

Transparency is essential for

Transparency is essential for public trust, so it’s encouraging to see organizations pushing for clearer access to information, especially on issues as significant as surveillance and humanitarian licensing. When communities stay informed, they’re better equipped to advocate for themselves - much like how guidance from sleep apnea doctors helps people make informed decisions about their own health.

Freizeit

I switched to night shifts

I switched to night shifts and now I’m awake when most others sleep, so I needed something fun to pass the time. Got interested in online gambling and found Captain Cooks Casino during a search. Looks nice on both phone and desktop, and right after signing up I got some free spins and extra play cash. It also supports Canadian players with region-specific offers and a smooth process to fund the account in CAD.
