Gottlieb Testifies at NHPRC Reauthorization Hearing

SAA President Peter Gottlieb joined representatives from other archives organizations and repositories in testifying on behalf of NHPRC reauthorization at a June 9 hearing of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Subcommittee on Information Policy, Census, and National Archives. Current legislation calls for reauthorization of the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (within NARA) of $20 million, a doubling of the authorization level established in 1991.
