The SAA Council met in Chicago in May to tackle a busy agenda. Among its actions, the Council adopted a balanced budget for FY 2012, approved “Core Values of Archivists” and a new “Digital Archives Specialist” program, made plans for formal launch of the SAA Foundation, and agreed to put forward constitution and bylaws amendments that would alter voting methods and eligibility to hold office.
