Governance / Council Updates

• Call for Leaders application deadline (today, 1/12) and funding for component groups (providing speaker honoraria, creating/distributing swag) deadline for FY26 on January 15 and March 1 for FY27. Also talk of developing new task forces in response to AI and archives, as well as expanding the childcare policy at the Annual Meeting to include eldercare.  

Programming

  • Promoted on SAA Connect and on social media - thanks Katelyn!

• Collaboration with GAES (Graduate Archival Education Subcommittee)

  • Date/time confirmed: March 4th @ 2pm CST/3pm EST. Erin will be speaking on behalf of SNAP - thank you Erin!

• Collaboration with Issues & Advocacy Section

  • “Hive Mind” drop-in program on imposter syndrome/belonging, shooting for mid-February, open to all (including non-SAA members) - I&A will discuss at their steering and will confirm with us

• Student Experiences blog series – updates from team?

• Adding language about AI to the blog’s editorial guidelines

• America 250 Task Force
