After some conversations on the listserv, our web home here as part of the SAA main site has gotten a refresh. Under the "Quick Links" menu to the right, you can access Solo, view our leadership and current work under "Governance" and get the links to our Facebook, LinkedIn, and listserv presence under "Connecting Online."
The Resources menu has also been updated, with new and updated information available in the Outreach, Membership, and Processing and Preservation pages.
If you have a suggestion for a resource to be placed on this site, please contact Melissa Torres.
The refreshed Quick Links and Resources sections sound like a useful improvement. Having governance, membership, outreach, and preservation information organized in clearly labeled areas makes it much easier for visitors to find what they need without searching through the entire site.
I also like the idea of inviting suggestions for additional resources. A site like this can become much more valuable over time when the community has an easy way to identify gaps and recommend useful material.
It’s a good reminder that even this company can benefit from keeping its online information organized and easy for visitors to navigate.
