2021 MDOS/VMS Virtual Joint Section Meeting Call for Proposals

The Metadata and Digital Object Section (MDOS) and the Visual Materials Section (VMS) are welcoming proposals for short talks at the virtual annual joint section meeting. The joint section meeting is scheduled for 10:30 am CST on Monday, July 19.

We are focusing on the following topics this year:

• How has your creation of metadata changed for visual materials in the past few years in light of the increased awareness for the need for more equitable and inclusive descriptive practices?
• What are some of the challenges related to remote visual material metadata creation that have arisen during the pandemic, and how might these challenges change your workflows in a post-pandemic world?

Speakers should aim for a talk 10-15 minutes in length.

Proposals will be reviewed by both VMS and MDOS section steering committees.  Deadline for submissions is 11:59 pm on June 18, 2021. Notifications will be sent out by June 23, 2021.
