LGRS Annual Section Meeting Recap

• During the meeting we also briefly discussed the collaborative Local Government Archives Directory Project. This project was started by John Slate, City Archivist, Dallas Municipal Archives, and Dave Evans, Corporate Archivist/Records Analyst for the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, in response to "a need for direct action to assist and encourage local government archives and government archives in non-government repositories." It compiles information on municipal archives from every town/county/village, city, and state in the U.S. and provinces in Canada.
