C. Pinkett Award re-naming and vote

After evaluating the results of the Harold T. Pinkett Minority Student Award Name Change Survey that was sent out early this year, the AAC Steering Committee has determined to move forward with changing the language of the award title and award description. The AAC Steering Committee has revised the Pinkett Award description text, and the revised text is now available for comment. To compare to current wording, award text is available at: https://www2.archivists.org/governance/handbook/section12-pinkett .

Major changes:

-Award title

-”Minority students” has been replaced with “students from marginalized racial and ethnic groups”
