Description: Come visit the Wells Fargo History Museum in San Diego’s Old Town State Park. We specialize in local history as well as Wells Fargo history. We have displays of the Butterfield Overland Mail; the Pony Express; Gold, Guns and Robbery; an Express Agent Office; safes and treasure boxes; as well as an authentic and restored 1868 Abbot-Downing Concord Stagecoach.
Directions: We are located in Old Town State Park. The Park is in the southwest quadrant where highways 5 and 8 intersect. From 8 (going west), get off on the Taylor Street exit, cross the freeway south and continue west along Taylor to Congress Street, park within one or two blocks from making your turn, and follow the signs into the park. From 5 (north or south) get off on Old Town Avenue, head east, and turn north (left) up 3 blocks on San Diego Avenue to the Park. Also, you can easily take the San Diego trolley to Old Town from many locations around San Diego. Questions? Just ask: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=663.
