Rosemary Pleva Flynn

Rosemary Pleva Flynn is the Librarian and Manager, Library and Information Services, at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) at the University of North Dakota. Prior to working at the EERC, she was the Electronic Records Project Archivist for Phase II of the Indiana University Electronic Records Project. She also taught English as a second language in South Korea.

Ms. Flynn has been an active member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and the Midwest Archives Conference (MAC). She is also a member of the Academy of Certified Archivists (ACA), AIIM, American Library Association (ALA), ARMA International, the Special Libraries Association (SLA), the North Dakota Library Association (NDLA), and the Mountain Plains Library Association (MPLA).

Ms. Flynn has presented papers and moderated programs at several conferences including SAA, Midwest Archives Conference (MAC), Educause, and New Mexico's DigIn. She is an instructor for several SAA continuing education workshops.

Ms. Flynn currently chairs the SAA Dictionary Working Group tasked with creating the new Dictionary of Archives Terminology. She led the ARMA Web Site Records Management Working Group that created the Website Records Management guidelines. She was also a member of the ARMA taskforce that created the Glossary of Records and Information Management, 3rd Ed. Ms. Flynn has also held many section and committee positions within SAA.

Ms. Flynn holds an M.L.S. from Indiana University and an M.A. in Social Sciences and B.S. in History with a minor in American Studies from Ball State University. She also attended the first Archives Leadership Institute held June 2008 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
