Archon™ is an open-source application available for managing descriptive information about archival records and manuscript collections. This webinar will provide an overview of Archon’s installation and configuration, demonstrate its collections management and digital library functions, and review simple strategies for customizing Archon’s public interface and importing legacy data.
Archivists, special collections librarians, manuscript curators, and museum specialists who are responsible for the arrangement and description of archival records, manuscripts, artifact collections, and digital content, as well as IT staff who are responsible for making this descriptive content available to the public through Web database interfaces
