September 8, 2020—At its August 3 meeting, the SAA Council created a standing Crisis, Disaster, and Tragedy Response Working Group whose principal charge is to “maintain and update SAA’s Documenting in Times of Crisis: A Resource Kit; develop and provide immediate and ongoing resources and response assistance to archivists, allied cultural heritage professionals, and their communities in times of tragedies, disasters, or other crises; and build partnerships with organizations focused on relief efforts and cultural stewardship and preservation."
The working group will comprise nine SAA members (including two co-chairs), of which at least one member of the Working Group shall be an international representative (that is, an individual who lives and works outside of the United States). Members will be appointed for staggered three year terms beginning in November 2020.

This dedicated group plays a vital role in supporting archivists and cultural heritage professionals by maintaining the Documenting in Times of Crisis toolkit and partnering with organizations involved in relief and preservation work. Members of this team bring diverse perspectives, including international insight, while serving rotating three-year terms.

I noticed the article that members will be appointed within a three-year period, it's well thought out, I and those who visit here always appreciate you, if you have enough time, I might have a recommendation too, try playing basketball legends, it's a lot of fun and a great alternative for those who want to have a good time.
