The HistoryMakers offers a year-long fellowship that provides training for archivists who are interested in working with African American archival collections. The year will include a 3-month immersion training program at The HistoryMakers Chicago location (June 6 - August 26, 2010) and an onsite residency (September 6 – June 1, 2012) at a host institution in one of a number of U.S. cities. A stipend of $37,000 is awarded. For details on the program, eligibility, and application procedures, click here.
The HistoryMakers Fellowship Opportunity is an exciting chance for scholars and storytellers to preserve and share important personal and community histories, amplifying voices that might otherwise be overlooked.
