Visual Material Cataloging and Access Committee

The Visual Materials Cataloging and Access Committee (VMCAC) provides a forum for archivists and others working with visual collections to discuss cataloging and access issues including - but not limited to - description methods, digitization, cataloging tools and standards, and other esoteric topics. VMCAC is also an ongoing contributor to the Visual Materials (VM) Section's newsletter Views, where we have a column, "Voices from VMCAC," dedicated to VMS member projects and contributions. 

VMCAC was created after the merger of VMS and Visual Materials Cataloging and Access Section (VMCAS) in November 2018, due to significant overlap in membership (60%), focus, and content.
