SNAP Steering Committee 2019-2020
Meeting #4: Monday, 12/09/2019
Time: 5 PM PT / 7 PM CT/ 8 PM ET

1. Chair
   
   1.  Welcome to our Ex-Officio Appointments!
      
      1. Junior Blog Editors: Elizabeth James (she/her/hers), Katie Lichtle (she/her/hers); Junior Social Media Coordinator: Louise LoBello (); Web Liaison: Liz Holdzkom (she/her/hers); Student Chapter Coordinators: Lourdes Johnson (her/hers), Hope Ketcham Geeting ().
      2. Brief refresher on meeting structure for new members.
   2. Meeting with SAA about student chapter outreach 12/6: two new student chapter coordinators to help facilitate better engagement; will need to update student chapter contact list. After the meeting it seems that SAA is willing to help support redefining/revamping student outreach.
   3. Statement on Boles article
      
      1. Emily putting together first draft
      2. Have heard from Council that article was sent back to Boles for edits--the piece that will end up in the final version may differ somewhat from the preprint version, but there still needs to be discussion on why this was selected for preprint/peer review process etc. Will hold off on the statement put out until the final print version is released. 
   4. Annual Meeting - no updates from other sections
      1. Let me know if you have suggestions (contact info) for panel participants on compensation/salary negotiation (maybe come January other sections will want to get involved, but in the meantime will continue to work on this alone). If you have ideas/suggestions for speakers, reach out or pass along their email! Just general salary negotiations within the field will be topic.
   5. Soliciting questions for upcoming salary negotiation webinar - Ashelee: Webinar will be held in April on salary negotiation. Ashelee compiled the questions from SNAP twitter chat, but would like to solicit additional questions and has opened it up to steering committee and (potentially) the SNAP listserv. 
2. Vice Chair/Chair-Elect
   
   1. No updates; co-student chapter leaders would like to connect with them to see how to reach out to students more. 
3. Blog Team

   2. Several people have signed up for blogs, outreach is going well!
4. Social Media 
   
   1. Twitter chat this week on being an activist archivists WILL NOT happen, but possibly an idea for future chat?
   2. SNAP chats on twitter will likely cease for the rest of the month of December.
   3. Rutgers student chapter collab with SNAP social media idea for January.

   1. Web page for new members draft was sent to SAA office earlier in December. Waiting for feedback, once okayed will be posted to SAA website.
