My company just found nearly 40 oversized trophies that have been boxed in our warehouse. Do other companies keep trophies/awards that are oversized? I have very limited space, and I was thinking of photographing the original trophies, and then donating them to the Boys and Girls club to be repurposed. They have not been inventoried or cataloged-they were in a box for the last 30 years. I realize they are part of our corporate history, but realistically I am running out of space, and won't get any more until after our expansion and renovation, which could take 5 years... Ethically, do I need to keep them, or are photographs sufficient for our corporate records?
Any thoughts/advice is greatly appreciated.
