Videos

Museum Archives Section members participate in various talks, presentations and demonstrations, and when possible, we would like to share these with out membership.

The latest video in this series, recorded in May 2015, features Monica Rose, Director of the Library and Archives of the Holocaust Museum Houston, giving a webinar titled "Museum Archive Advocacy in the Private Nonprofit." Monica has worked in archives and libraries for nineteen years. She is a librarian, archivist, and records manager. In this presentation, she offered fresh perspectives on the archivist’s role in relation to allied professions and on effective means of advocating for archival programs with governing bodies and administrators. To view the video, please click here.

In the first video in this series, recorded in December 2014, Nancy Enneking, Head of Institutional Records and Digital Stewardship at the Getty Research Institute,  discusses the e-records archiving program which was initiated in 2010 utilizing a series of open source tools.  In addition to her work with the Getty, she is currently serving as a member of the ArchivesSpace User Advisory Council. In the video, Nancy builds on her talk at the 2014 Electronic Records Symposium organized by the Section’s Best Practices and Standards Working Group. If you missed the symposium, here is your chance to “attend” one of the talks. Please click here to view the talk.
