Analyzes visual media, including prints, photographs, posters, magazine illustrations, advertisements, motion pictures, and video. Pays special attention to the use of these media as sources for political, social, cultural, intellectual, and economic history. Includes a curatorial component that addresses the ways in which archivists and museum professionals administer such materials.
