Eligibility and Voting Guidelines
- All full individual members, student members, and primary contacts of institutional members who are in good standing on March 15, 2025, will be eligible to vote in the 2025 Election. Members who join after March 15, 2025, will be eligible to vote in the 2026 Election. Individual associate members are not eligible to vote.
- SAA staff will export and upload voter data to the online ballot system during the last week of March. Voters will be able to access their online ballot between April 1 and April 15, 2025, via a unique username and password included in the email notification. SAA is partnering with Survey & Ballot Systems, a leading provider of secure online voting software for nonprofit associations, to administer this election.
- Any eligible member of SAA may also be placed on the ballot by submitting a petition signed signed by five (5) percent of eligible voting members of the societys; petitions must be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer at SAACEO@archivists.org by January 31, 2025.
