Senators Elizabeth Warren (MA) and Dan Sullivan (AK) circulated a letter among their Senate colleagues in support of increased funding for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC). This was the first time that such a letter supporting NARA and NHPRC has circulated in the Senate. The advocacy efforts of archivists and kindred professions, led by the organizing efforts of the National Coalition for History and the National Humanities Alliance, resulted in 17 additional Senators signing on to the letter. This a major win for archives, history, and humanities. Read the entire letter sent to the chairs of the Senate Subcommittee on Financial Service and General Government.
