Council Proposes Constitution/Bylaws Amendments

The SAA Council is responsible for ensuring the efficient and responsible function of the Society’s governance infrastructure. The proposed amendments to the SAA constitution and bylaws seek to streamline governance processes without compromising the transparency of the organization or the role of the broader membership in decision making on issues of importance. On the issue of filling of Council vacancies, the proposed changes would provide the Council with guidance in filling mid-term vacancies and would facilitate continuity and experience of appointees by removing the stipulation that they must stand for an election. On the issue of timing of referendums, the proposed changes would eliminate the considerable expenditure of funds and staff time to conduct a fall referendum when the measure at hand is not a dues change or other time-sensitive matter.

The SAA Council’s proposed

The SAA Council’s proposed amendments to the constitution and bylaws are designed to improve governance efficiency while maintaining transparency and meaningful member involvement in key decisions. By clarifying the process for filling mid-term Council vacancies, the changes would ensure continuity, retain valuable experience, and reduce unnecessary election requirements that can disrupt leadership stability. Similarly, adjusting the timing of referendums would help avoid significant costs and staff effort when issues are not urgent, allowing resources to be used more strategically. This balanced approach mirrors best practices seen in other structured systems, such as ADHD Coaching UK, where clear frameworks and continuity play an important role in achieving effective, long-term outcomes.

Good

The proposed amendments to the SAA constitution aim to enhance governance efficiency while maintaining transparency and member involvement. Changes regarding Council vacancies would allow for appointed continuity without election, and adjustments to referendum timing would reduce unnecessary costs and efforts for non-urgent matters.  pips game

At first glance, I

At first glance, I thought orbit beats looked too simple. Just circles and beats, right? Nope. The deeper I went, the more it pulled me in. The combination of minimalist visuals and insane rhythm timing makes it a real test of skill. It’s so much harder than it looks.
