EAD3 is here!

After five years of work by the Technical Subcommittee for Encoded Archival Description (TS-EAD) and the Schema Development Team, EAD3 has arrived. TS-EAD submitted the updated encoding standard for review by the Standards Committee in June, and SAA Council unanimously voted to adopt EAD3 as an SAA-approved standard last week. TS-EAD will make the final EAD3 schemas available prior to the SAA Annual Meeting in Cleveland, where copies of the EAD3 Tag Library will be available for purchase.

It's fascinating to see the culmination of five years of effort with the arrival of EAD3. The collaboration between TS-EAD and the Schema Development Team truly paid off. golf hit
