The Marquette University Special Collections and Archives has completed its online surname index to student attendance records within the Bureau of Catholic Indian Missions: BCIM Series 2-1 Surname Index. Without compromising privacy mandated by The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, the index provides limited public access to attendance records from over 100 U.S. Catholic Native American schools, ca. 1890-1980.Patrons are invited to consult the index before seeking further access.For more information, contact archivist Mark G.
