Present: Ghaznavi (Chair), Lassere, Legg, Martzahl, McAninch, Mitchem, Schaefer (members); Capodilupo, and De Sutter (staff). Absent: Brancato, Gengenbach, Lindberg,
- Comprehensive Exam Questions for new courses (Martzahl)
- Bit more variance; Ghaznavi – is method VM used the way we’ll go from here, based on science? Not quite there yet. VM what should be done is to go back to minutes where Sandy explained what the breakdown is. (we were in small room and S explained)
- Discussion of Exam as a whole – how to go about making the easy questions harder. Passing score higher? Will require Sandy’s input. Look at questions that have been viewed as too easy and distribute those questions (12?) to see how we can make them harder? In the new layout there are fewer questions for Foundational courses. Attrition some of the easy questions?
Down the road – redo the Dolan exercise of at what level we think people will pass and up it. VM to put together her findings for next call to determine the direction SC should go.
