Agenda
1. Welcome to our two new members – Jackie Esposito (JE), Glen McAninch (GM)
2. Course Review/Audit matters
- Erin O’Meara’s course on inreach/outreach (TST10) – Naomi from EdComm our reviewer
- Cynthia Gehring’s RFP (TST7) exam is up – everyone looked at it.
We sent back the pre-Assessment questions with a request to direct them more expressly toward the course content and to make the prerequisite knowledge section of the Course Description more concrete regarding recordkeeping systems. Exam proper looks satisfactory.
- Howard Besser – Legal Issues (TST6) workshop in May. SdS will poke. Susan Irwin from Ed Comm auditing
- Chris Prom – content still waiting – workshop in May, SdS will poke, need auditor. Chris said he would implement MM review suggestions.
- MM auditing Appraisal? Yes.
- LL audit of Preservation Options of PDF? Yes. GM, also.
3. Matrices: 1 - Courses – Core Comps, 2 - Courses – Topic spaces
Create Course Description template LL suggested this be a topic in the CE instructor meeting at the Annual Meeting, about 20-30 minutes on a Course Description template (DAS subcommittee-approved), the incorporation of Core Competencies in Course Description, quick review of Learning Outcomes.
4. Comprehensive exam – Review ACA article in Archival Outlook (AO), Jan/Feb 2012 issue: “Where did those questions come from? The Archival Certification Examination.” Tabled to next call. pp.12/13 of AO Jan/Feb 2012 issue., SdS says in particular the sections on developing the questions and how we can set up a process for that.
5. Face to face meeting date reminder – August 27/28 in Chicago. That’s a Monday/Tuesday.
