        Introduction to the process of establishing and developing long term repositories for digital materials that will serve current and future researchers; examines the intersection of archival responsibility and digital asset management in the creation of a new specialization and emerging profession.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, a student will be able to:

        Explain the technological, ethical, and legal issues they routinely face;
        Design a digital repository including its personnel and policy requirements;
        Choose appropriate tools for establishing a specific digital repository
