EAD3 brings changes small and large to Encoded Archival Description. A decade after the previous revision, EAD3 attempts to balance competing priorities of simplifying when possible, reconciling with EAC-CPF when prudent, better supporting the capture and exchange of structured data when needed, and respecting existing EAD community practice when necessary.
