In a move to expand the options available to component groups in meeting their communication objectives, the SAA Council has adopted a revision to the Uniform Guidelines for SAA Websites and Online Communications that states that, “SAA component groups may create accounts on social networks (such as Facebook and Twitter) and use social media tools (such as wikis, blogs, and document-sharing sites).” Groups are required to maintain key governance information on their SAA microsites and to maintain on the microsites active links to all external resources.
