How to subscribe to the "Archives in the News" email list

Archives in the News is an independent email list curated and managed by Peter Kurilecz, which posts news articles of interest to the archives profession.

1. Visit the group page at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/archives-in-the-news

2. Click "Sign In." and sign in with your preferred google account.

If you don't have a google account, you will be prompted to create one. You should use the email address at which you would like to receive emails from this list. (See more about creating a Google Account)

3. Click the "Join Group" button.

4. A dialog window appears. Select your preference for email delivery.

Most users will want one of the last two options:

"Send combined updates (25 messages per email)"

 --this option is recommended for most users. It will send a daily email with all news stories, and is the format which most closely resembles the "digest" option of SAA Discussion Lists.

"Send me an email for every new message (about 1 per day)"

 --this option will send each news story in its own email as it is posted to the group.

5. Click the "Join this group" button at the bottom of the dialog box.
