2021

Virtual Annual Business Meeting

At the Description Section business meeting, leadership shared election results and provided updates on the section’s ongoing projects including the blog, the Section’s portal of descriptive resources, and revisions to the Section’s Standing Rules. In addition, representatives from the Technical Subcommittee on Describing Archives: A Content Standard (TS-DACS) and Social Networks and Archival Context (SNAC) provided updates on their ongoing work.

We then hosted a series of lightning talks highlighting the work and perspective of other SAA sections on the topic of inclusive and reparative description, followed by Q&A.
