Carla Hayden Confirmed to Head Library of Congress

The U.S. Senate on July 13 confirmed Carla D. Hayden to serve as the 14^th Librarian of Congress. She is the first woman and the first African American to serve in that position. Hayden, who now leads Baltimore’s Enoch Pratt Free Library, will serve a 10-year term under term limits set by Congress. Read more.
